Does this guy like me or is he just being nice?

okay, sooooo....im normally a quiet girl (but once i get to know you, you cant get me 2 shut up haha) and i dont really talk to anyone in my one cl, and at the end of the period i waz just chillin at myy desk and this one guy (we'll call him B) waz like " ur just kinda staring off into space, why dont u tlk to me nd my friends or even that girl over there, i bet she would be happy 2 tlk to you". I kina felt awkward after that and waz like ok thenn....from then on someays he would ask me bout this one other cl we had together and we would have a short conversation. Then this one time this kid in front of me was asking me a bunch of questions bout a worksheet we were doing in cl cuzz he normally tries to mooch offa anyone so he doesnt hav 2 do hiz work and then B said "come on really, this is like the easiest worksheet" and then i looked up at him and kinda laughed and he smiled blushd and then looked away while mumbeling sumthing. So im not sure if this kid likes me or is being nice because im quiet?? By the way he is normally like an outgoing kind of person but not that loud....if that makes any sense??help plzzz XD P.S. im a girl lol
