Help with controlling boyfriend!?

My boyfriend is quite controlling, not in a nasty way but he just likes to control situations e.g holiday bookings etc. Im currently learning to drive and have booked my test for March, i have not told ANYONE including my mother when my test is, i dont want anyone to know as id just like to get on with it and do it, i think my boyfriend is struggling to cope with the fact that he is not in control of it, and its quite annoying! i had my test booked a couple of times previously but changed it as i was not ready, my boyfriend knew when my original booking was but has not known anything since, he keeps nagging me about it and ive told him several times i dont want to tell anyone and im just dealing with it myself, as technically its nothing to do with him. i rang him this morning and he said ill ring you back in a minuet, i said i wont be here (as i was about to go for a cigarette) he rang back and said 'good luck on your test', i said 'its not my test im just going out for a fag. he then said 'when is your test then coz this is stupid' i said 'you know i wanna keep that to myself' he then said 'im going to ring up the DVLA and complain about your test coz its taking to long' i said 'no dont i dont want to complain' he said 'well i do, im going to complain' i then got a bit angry and said 'no its none of your business' he then said 'fine' and hung up, hes now angry at me! im geting so annoyed with him trying to control it! its none of his business! what should i say to him about it?
