I have had my Meridian IUD for 7 months,gain 8 pounds and zero drive. I want it out! please comment.?

I have had my Meridian IUD for over 7 months. I have gain about 8 pounds and I have zero drive. I am a very young, caucasian 40 year old, I feel like I am in the fog now. Anyone out there have it removed? Did it hurt? Do you feel better now?
