Is there a job shortage in the U S I'm unaware of?

All I hear is illegals are taking our jobs. Which I don't support illegal immigration but I guess I'm not seeing that too much. Everywhere I look are help wanted signs. Why would any CITIZEN be out of a job? A citizen has every opportunity for jobs legally. Much more so than an illegal. Seriously....Why isn't every able bodied CITIZEN working? If Micky D's hires illegals and takes that chance of being busted wouldn't they rather hire a citizen? I know the wages suck but you could get 2 jobs then right? I did when I had all my kids home. Can someone please explain this to me? Thank you
