What is goin on here please help as I am so confused?

Me and my ex broke up nearly 8 months ago and when I am not with him I am ok but when I am with him I miss him and want him back in my life as a family unit which we was for nearly four years, we have still been sleepin with each since we split up, he say's that he still loves me and wants to get back together in the future but not at the moment as he wants to give us time but then again we might not get back together as nobody knows what the future holds and now he is blatently seein somebody else now, I just want to b happy and move on with my life, I suffer with depression and feel like I am just holdin onto my ex because I am scared of standin on my own two feet
