How did the phrase "Jewish American Princess (JAP)" come about...?
American people do not know much about other countries, because most of them had never been outside of USA. They also are sure in their ignorance that somehow they are the best in this universe. So, questions about cultures and traditions originated outside of USA are just a waste of time in this forum, and by now you must know that. Term JAP is another stereotype with umptions that all female children in Jewish American families are spoiled rotten, and therefore unprepared for the harsh realities of life outside of their father's influence. There are some females with that history, but most Jewish American ladies I've met were warm, hard working and dedicated professionals, wives and mothers. So, in my experience stereotypes are full of you know what.
